Denison (1872-Present)
Denison, Texas has one of those rare municipal flags that could easily be the flag of an independent country. Green represents the green grass of the Indian Territory, white represents the cotton fields of Texas, the red stripe represents the Red River, and the black stripe represents the railroad. It’s also one of the oldest city flags in the country, which might be part of the reason for its simple and effective design.
