the counter and adorning walls inside Sam’s Bar-B-Que.  that picture of Stevie Ray Vaughn on the wall is not just a ‘celebrity, i ate here’ post.  this was absolutely Stevie Ray’s favorite BBQ spot in Austin and maybe even for a large radius.  i’m not sure what that says, but it must be something.

Many, many times I’ve passed by this sign on top of the big hill overlooking Brownwood, Texas, with my paternal grandparents. The food at Underwood’s is just about as good as anything can be.

Wayne Mueller, co-owner of Louie Mueller Barbecue in Taylor, decided to collect bones from his barbecue business to give to dogs at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. He gathered about 750 bones and took them in for the first time last week.
