What Makes Texas Unique

So a couple of days ago we were asked what we think makes Texas so unique and we threw it out to y’all for suggestions.  Here’s the top ten! 

  1. Bluebell Ice Cream
  2. Tex-Mex
  3. Texas State Fair where everything is deep fried.
  4. We take heat in stride. Oh it’s in the 90s outside? PFFF—It’s summer. Wait ‘til it gets in the 100s.
  5. We make EVERYTHING Texas-shaped (whether necessary or not!)
  6. We used to be our own country
  7. Feeder roads
  8. Round Rock donuts
  9. Riverwalk
  10. The German culture in South Texas
